Here is another option for the forthcoming Queens Birthday weekend in Melbourne, on Sunday 13 June. Future Entertainment have their fingers in two pies that night, as they will be presenting Slinky at the Palace Complex, and as we reported earlier James Zabiela at Room680. Slinky will be a night of hard trance featuring DJs Scott Bond (UK) and Dave Lea (UK) as well as our local DJs. The entire Palace Complex will be completely transformed into a rave paradise with a line up second to none for those into hard trance.
Scott Bond is a high achiever at only 25. He was a resident DJ and co-promoter of the Sheffield-based superclub Gatecrasher, does production under the pseudonym Q:Dos, and has had major success with his two releases with Solar Stone. ‘Third Earth’ and ‘Naked Angel’ both massively supported by the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buurren, Judge Jules, Tiesto to name a few.
Dave Lea's musical style covers "Anything from trance to techno, through to the harder stuff, so long as it has a good groove", though probably best described as hard and twisted. He is the man behind the global Slinky empire, and has over the last three and half years turned the brand from a successful UK club night into a globally renowned Super club with regular events in every continent. In 2003 Slinky operated monthly clubs in Tokyo, Singapore, KL, Dubai and Sao Paulo Brazil.
Slinky takes place on Sunday 13 June at the Palace, Lower Esplanade, St Kilda. Tickets are available presale for $35+BF. Expect to pay more on the door. Here is the full lineup for the evening:
Slinky (main room): Scott Bond, Dave Lea, Jason Midro, Scott Alert, Master Kaos and Jeremy K . Bass Station (back room): Ajax, Compound, Jewelz, Tristen Mason, Richie Braic and Ben Kakoshke . Rising sons (Side room): Steve Strangis, Julian Reynolds, Jules Plees and Chris Pana
