If you are a Voodoo child at heart, this Friday night at Sublime in Sydney is a night not to be missed. Nick Sentience will be headlining Voodoo promoting his newly released album and DVD, 'Universal Language' from his label 'Quality Trax'.

At 25 years of age and with the production of over 50 dance tracks under his belt, Nick has made a very reputable name for himself, headlining at events such as Godskitchen, Creamfields, Gatecrasher NEC, Cream, Slinky, Frantic, Ministry of Sound and Womb Tokyo… the list goes on and on..

The Sublime crew couldn’t leave its breaks fans out in the cold and have a special guest in store for all the Beat-fix junkies this week as Future Breaks launch their new cd mixed by Ben Shepherd and Keltec. Be prepared to celebrate with the Melbourne based breaks crew and Sydney's Q45 and MC Losty as Beat-fix guarantees to get you moving. For set times and more details visit home Sydney's website.

Fri, 23 Jul 2004Mmmm I think there's definitely different variations of 'bang'. What Pappa did last weekend (and will probably do tonight) banged in all the right places. Loved it. As for drugs and alcohol, that's a personal choice. Each to their own.

Fri, 23 Jul 2004I used to be a prick and hate what was popular. Thank God i've opened my mind since those days. So trance to me is tolerable but only in small doses. As soon as it 'bangs' I'm gone. The 'youth' of today (please excuse the cliche) seem to love the music beating the shit out of them. WTF? Child abuse must be on the rise or something cos me cannot stand the intensity and angryness if u like. Give me soothing house, prog, tech (no) any day At least I know i don't need to take anything to stay up... More

Ants1wrote
Fri, 23 Jul 2004Yeah, same here. I still love my trance and listen to it when I feel like it but the thought of going to any hard trance event is enough to keep under my doonah for the night. Mind you, techno is a different ballgame. Beats are hard but in a different way...

Fri, 23 Jul 2004Yeah esp us english gals.....5 years in Oz (and 5 years in age) has bought with it a born again love of house though..I do still quite like the H/Hse and some decent trance but I just couldn't cope with a whole night of it anymore...

Ants1wrote
Fri, 23 Jul 2004hehe I never got to the whistle stage... but one of my friends used to spike their hair with fluro stuff when we went out... was a funny sight. Was fun at the time but I'm glad I've moved onto prog now...
