Cielo in New York will be hosting a special night on August 12th with two of New York’s best DJ duo’s Astro & Glyde and The Low End Specialits, double-teaming in the fashionable meatpacking at the club voted “Best Club Venue” by the Dancestar USA Awards 2004.
Astro & Glyde recently signed their latest track ‘Aimless Dame’ to John Digweed's esteemed Bedrock label and have been touring worldwide this summer. They are now looking forward to upcoming releases on Red Ant Records and SLR records and continue to bring their upfront energy and twisted, funked-up house music to dancefloors everywhere. Meanwhile, The Low End Specialists have been riding high at #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart with their remix of Janet Jackson’s ‘All Nite (Don’t Stop)’ (Virgin). The LES boys also have recent remixes out for Sander Kleinenberg’s record label Little Mountain Recordings and they’ll be playing at the Love Parade in Hungary this summer with recent gigs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Toronto, Moscow, and at the Big One in Argentina.
Together for the first time on Cielo’s sound system, these two dynamic duos will bring an exciting night of proggy sounds, tribal beats, and feel-good funky house music. Tickets are $10 or for a Free guestlist e-mail the club. Doors open at 11pm.
