Micky Finn and Aphrodite are two stalwart characters within the drum'n'bass world and soon they will embark on an Australian tour to display their obvious talents For years they have been pioneers of phatness – both under the guise of Urban Takeover and as individuals – moulding beats, Trends and styles in the studio and as well as spinning up a storm across the globe.
Micky Finn erupted into the scene in the late 80s, and has since worked on his own and with others, gaining much notoriety within music circles. Whilst Aphrodite, who alongside Micky runs the ‘Urban Takeover’ label dedicated to tracks by new and established dnb talent. His 2003 release of the ‘Urban Junglist’ compilation on his Aphrodite label featured Peshay, High Contrast, MC Fearless, Skibadee and an abundance of new original talent.
Micky Finn and Aphrodite are touring Australia as a combined force over October and November at the below dates:
