  • Back in 1991 Sasha was the first DJ to make it onto the front cover of Mixmag. In 2004 Sasha is tipped to be nominated for the first Dance music Grammy Resident Advisor had the honour of snatching a few minutes out of a hectic schedule to find out what the grammy’s mean to dance music, his thoughts on Renaissance and what’s exciting one of the most successful DJ’s to date. First though here are some of Sasha’s thoughts on Australian turf: "There’s a flavour to Australia’s culture thats different to everywhere else, a lot of International DJ’s come and play but its definatley cultivated it’s own music scene, especially on the electronic side of things. The standard of Australian DJ’s is really high the producers have been not just influential in Australia but around the world. It’s a thriving self sufficient culture that’s in Australia". Australia is a hard audience to play too, international DJ’s are very hyped very which makes the expectations very high, we expect great things of the international headliners "Australia is an educated audience – you can’t just come along and play a lot of records that have been out for too long, you have to come along and put on a show. Which keeps you on your toes and playing new tunes makes it interesting. Its great when a crowd responds to new music, which Australia always does". Sasha’s will be down under playing the following Australian tour dates: 29th October – Metro City, Perth 31st October – Sounds on Sunday at Greenwood Hotel, Sydney 1st November – Cup Eve at the Metro in Melbourne To read the full interview with RA click below.
