On Saturday 30th October the club formally known as viva, club vip, in Brisbane is to be transformed to bring back those wonderful memories or create some new ones. Ampt Productions are in control with ‘Phunk You’, “a night focused on quality beats and original lighting and visual production.”
This installment features UK breakbeat Legend Mr Klaus 'Heavyweight’ Hill, a prominent figure in the London scene producing many a track for Tayo's Mob records label, and Nick Thayer, the Melbourne lad who is track 'theme one', perked interest from many in the breaks circle.
Alongside those trtavelling to play are locals Teschnik(live), Shredlock, Dave Da Silva, Mike Redfern and the vocal stylings of MC Shureshock as well as the first live appearence from the Cleptophonics (live) - a local 7 piece playin a mash up of rock, jazz, hip hop and breaks.
In the second room Dj's from the Jencorp agency, TimmyL, Aidan Rice and Elemance will be in control. This room is free all night, whilst entry for the main room is free before 9 and 15 after, $10 tickets for Ampt members.
