For those still pondering how to celebrate NYE this year, then here's another option for you. Future Entertainment are putting on Mischief with headliners 2 Many DJs and DJ Maseo (De La Soul). They would also like to assure you that after 2 Many DJs stalled us last time to finish their album, this time they are 100% confirmed.
When bootlegging has become an Olympic sport, it is nice to see someone set a new standard: 2 Many DJ’s from Belgian groove-gurus Soulwax. Fans of quality left-of-centre rock music will know Soulwax from their highly acclaimed album ‘Much Against Everyone’s Advice’, which made it into the British Top 40 and got rave responses in Japan and Australia. 2 Many DJ's are masters in blending the finest products of music history together into a catchy, hilarious and above all, intriguing groove exploration. From politically incorrect prog-rock to funky r&b, from trendy hiptrop to banging German techno, ja: if it gets a booty going, the Dewaele brothers have it in their record collection.
DJ Maseo, the DJ and one of three band members from legendary hip-hop band De La Soul, will be playing what ever the hell he wants. His record collection of hip-hop, breaks, funk, and soul is enough to make any record buff green with envy. The band is featured on the national Summadayze tour, and want to let their hair down and enjoy NYE in Melbourne with their boy Maseo spinning a few tunes.
Alongside 2 Many DJ’s and DJ Maseo the party will feature one of the best Melbourne line ups across 4 rooms, filled with state of the art Nexo soundsystems at The Metro. Lineup includes The Bang Gang (Sydney) featuring Dangerous Dan (Tsubi head honcho), DJ Ajax and Benny Single, Mr Jigga (9 Piece Live), Dirty Laundry (7 Piece Live), The Little Beasties, Grant Smillie, Agent 86, Derek Kaye, Arlen De Silva, Mark John, and many more to be announced.
