As this will be Sweechilli's final event for 2004 the Chilli crew are set to finish off their year of partying with a bang. Headlining the night will be UK based Steve Gerrard whom, if you are a regular at the Chilli parties, you will remember from his gig in Sydney at Gas last year alongside James Holden where he absolutely rocked it. This time around Steve will be promoting his recently released compilation 'Thinking Out Loud'.
Steve's djing career took off after he won Muzik Magazine's prestigious Bedroom Bedlam award in 1998 followed by the Ericsson Muzik Award for Best Bedroom Bedlam DJ in 2000, putting him in the Bedroom Bedlam club with Paolo Mojo and James Zabiela. As a nu breed DJ with inspiration from the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren and Hybrid, Steve has most recently been touring with Digweed on his Bedrock tour in the UK and has also been known for sharing residencies with Steve Lawler.
John Digweed says "Steve Gerrard is another DJ who is making a name for himself by delivering great sets everywhere he goes. He always rocks it at Bedrock when he plays."
Support will include Trent Anthony, Crispin & Daniel, Robbie Lowe and Newcomer 'Bunz' in the funky room. This will be the last Sweetchilli for a while so don’t miss it. Tickets are $20 on the door.
