There have been stirring behind the scenes and its now time to unveil a new club night starting Friday 26 November. Original Transmissions is a new event which aims to shift the spotlight to the Melbourne's invisible music creators, allowing them to bring their work to life in every sense of the word. The audience will get a rare glimpse into the current musical projects and unreleased material of some of Melbourne’s most inspiring producers. For the first party, Altitude's monthly progressive night Ascend supplies the arena, and Andy Page and PQM will provide the original, live sounds.

Known the world over as a DJ and Producer, PQM’s most noted productions include The Flying Song, Aenema, Nameless, You Are Sleeping and his reworking of Led Zeppelin's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. This will be PQM's first live performance and will feature a vocalist, guitarist and percussionist. PQM will also be introducing and showcasing his new down-tempo project Chronik comprised of himself and vocalist Matt Perry.

Joining PQM in the first of the Original Transmissions events will be none other than El Mariachi of the Hi-Fi Bugs, Andy Page. Those who witnessed his guitar and Ableton aided live sets at Broken Home and supporting Way Out West will know they are in for a very special performance as one of the most creative souls in dance music allows a rare insight into musical genius. Joining them will be Ascend DJs James Young, Adam Holden, Richie Greaves and Jayson Holden and the Deep Concentration crew from Street Fm.

Entry is $15/$10 on the door. Vist BarAltitude.com.au for guestlisting. Bar Altitude is located at Bullens Lane, Melbourne (near cnr Bourke & Russel St). This party is sure to impress!

Mon, 29 Nov 2004this party rocked on friday night. i havent been to an occassion like that for a while - the place was jumping well before midnight and the artists were jumping about too, both eager and nervous about playing! it all went without a hitch and AP and PQM both had solid dancefloors of ppl loving it! Fantastic night out. Big ups to the new crew who put that lineup together!
