  • The Prodigy will be Australia bound in 2005 in support of their latest album "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned". The tour will be in March 2005, taking in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The Prodigy defined electronic punk with ‘Poison’ in 1995, refined it with ‘Firestarter’ a year later and conquered the planet with it on their record breaking “The Fat of the Land” album. By July 2002 when the The Prodigy released the ‘Baby’s Got A Temper’ single however, the electronic punk genre theyinvented looked set to turn them into a parody of themselves, becoming a creative straightjacket. So Liam Howlett scrapped a year’s worth of new tracks, locked the doors on the stale atmosphere of his studio and started writing. The end result was The Prodigy's fourth album “Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned” written on a laptop in a bedroom in Essex, mixed in London and mastered in New York. It is the sound of Liam reclaiming the Prodigy and putting the beats back centre stage. It also features vocals by Liam Gallagher, Juliet Lewis, Kool Keith, Princess Superstar, Ping Pong Bitches, Twista, Shahin Bada (better known as the spine tingling chanteuse from ‘Smack My Bitch Up’) and unknown lo fi singer songwriter Paul Jackson from Dirt Candy. Check out all three original band members, Liam Howlett, Keith Kool and Maxim together when they tour, taking the album to the stage live. Tickets go on sale from 9am Monday 20 December from Ticketek 132 849 or www.ticketek.com.au. Check the tour dates below. The Prodigy Australian Tour Tuesday 8 March - Brisbane, Riverstage.
