  • Detroit based Jeremy Ellis has a real ability to fuse music, his latest long player is a combination of Puerto Rico inspired Bomba and Plena married with rhythms with Detroit-schooled dance music. After three months of working on the album in Puerto Rico, the keyboard maestro and golden-toned vocalist discovered that the living in Puerto Rico ain’t so easy. On his way home he lost two computers, all of his recordings, half of his recording advance, and his passport. However all is well that ends well and he will soon release ‘Lotus Blooms’ through Ubiquity Records. Lotus Blooms Tracklisting 1. Take Your Time 2. These Passing Days 3.. Bombakiss 4. Callelunakarma - Movement 1 5. Movement 2 6. Movement 3 7. Movement 4 8. Sonatina in C - Variations 9. Cortaron a Elena 10. '86' Verbs 11. Lil' 808 Thing 12. Bomba-lude 1 13. June-0 14. I Believe 15. Bomba-Lude 2 16. Lotus Blooms 17. Take Your Time (Remix - Bonus Track) Jeremy has performed a host of live gigs throughout the USA and this 17 tracker of future funk with distinct Detroit elements is a fair reflection of his ability and sound live. The February 22 release will mark Ubiquity’s first album release of the new year.
