  • One half English, One half Australian, live act Parallel Sound have been sticking to the Northern Hemisphere side for the last three years, with extensive European touring and plenty of live shows at some of London’s best clubs, including a home at the Cross. Getting back in touch with half their roots, Parallel Sound are having a short promotional tour in support of there upcoming releases on Hope Recordings, and also sowing the seeds for their eventual move to Australia as a permanent home. Having made many fans among the ex-pat Aussie community in London, there is already a strong contingent ready to check out their upcoming live shows in Sydney and Melbourne. But those who would like an opportunity to see them play in Australia for the first time should get to Room 680 in Melbourne on Sat 5th Feb, and out in Sydney on Feb 20th, at Sounds on Sunday with John Askew at the Greenwood Hotel. After a string of releases on various labels, Parallel Sound has been picked up by Hope Recordings, one of the worlds biggest independent dance labels. Signing a 5 single and album deal, Parallel Sound join the likes of label heavyweights, Timo Maas and Way Out West. Their first release ‘Beyond Your Soul’ is out on promo and getting a full release on Feb 28th. The breaks follow up, ‘Falling Like a Star’ will get its full push at Miami, and is already getting the thumbs up form Pete Tong. ‘Be Honest’ is also finished and set for release later in the year.
