In a totally pleasantly suprising move on their behalf, Manchester's very own Sankeys Soap have announced their first outdoors festival in over 8 years, to take place on Saturday July 16 in an enchanted forrest, just outside Leeds. This is exactly twenty years after the historic "Live Aid" event and all the profits from this part will go exculsively to the aid of the people of Sudan.
The promoters say "The event will feature three arenas which will all be individually themed, bringing and mixing together classic concepts and pioneering some really awesome new ideas, which will be announced very soon." It will be composed of a number of seperate zones, including Starship Universe, Tribal Sessions, The Tower Of Sound, Lovebox and Back 2 Basics. More than 30 artists have been confirmed so far and it has been disclosed that Groove Armada will headline the festival, being their only live show of the summer since they are currently working on their new album.
