- For the fourth installment of The Los Angeles Leg of Dj Sasha's American residency by the name of Fundacion, Sasha.
For the fourth installment of The Los Angeles Leg of Dj Sasha's American residency by the name of Fundacion (Avalon, Hollywood / Crobar, New York), Sasha welcomes his good friend James Zabiela as his guest for the month of March (19th).
This will undoubtedly be an interesting show to witness the future of Dj technology and skills in full swing in the present, the amalgamation of two giants and their ‘battle’ weapons is a rare occasion these days as both DJs are amongst the most sought after in the Industry.
Dj Sasha has his custom midi controller dubbed 'The Maven' (to be used with Ableton Live) which enables him to do 'on the go' live re-editing based on the energy of the room at that exact moment (music just can’t get any fresher!) and an unlimited arsenal of Efx within the software (and Hardware) to give him a ‘virtual’ portable studio. Meanwhile, James Zabiela, known for his Efx console use and cd turntable scratching will be bringing along some tracks to play on his Pioneer Cdj's and Efx 500 (or perhaps the as of yet unreleased Efx 1000 which he helped to design) and perhaps even the new Pioneer mixer the Djm 1000 (to be released soon).
This is a show not to be missed, but if you do miss it, be sure to catch them playing together again in Miami ‘Ultra carry on party’ (presented by Fundacion) @ the American airlines arena on March 26th. Other Djs to be featured at this Ultra Musical festival after party event are John Digweed, Unkle feat. James Lavelle and Hernan Cattaneo.
