  • Never afraid to drop a groovy funk fuelled bassline, likeable Ian Pooley, has compiled and mixed a brand new compilation for NRK which will be released early this Summer. This will be his first commercial released mix CD since NRK’s ‘nite:life 06’ back in 2001. Titled ‘A Subterranean Soundtrack’, the mix, which aims to showcase his current style will encompass electro from the likes of Soul Mekanik and Chicken Lips, groovy deep house from Mike Monday, Freaks and JT Donaldson and some classic stuff from Skylark, Carl Craig and I:Cube. The mix CD is accompanied by a bonus CD featuring some Pooley productions and remixes from the NRK and Honchos vaults, including ‘Calypso Theme’, ‘Fly Shuffle’ and his remixes of Noel Nanton’s ‘Your Love’ and Nick Holder’s ‘On My Mind’ as well as a couple of collaborations with another NRK artists, Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson. Lookout for global tour dates to support the release.
