  • Expect UK BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank to be jetting across to the states on more consistent basis after last week putting pen to paper with USA booking agency Chaotica. In 1995, Rob launched South London’s popular Sunday offering ‘Sunday Best’ and since then hasn’t looked back. The respected leftfield / freestyle party brand has seen the likes of Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx perform at the club night, as well as the Sunday Best Recording label (launched in 1997) pushing the sounds of Groove Armada and Lemon Jelly via its compilation series. Speaking to RA Rob explains his keeness to get across the Atlantic:
America is definitely getting big on freestyle selectors. So I'm hoping they won't object to a long-haired guy from London crashing the party. It's an exciting move for me!
The host of two Radio 1 shoes, ‘The Blue Room’ and ‘One Music’ and the founder of Bestival Rob hears a huge variety of music, so Americans can expect a wide selection of sounds from a UK artist on the rise.
