Many of you would have awoken to the sad news this morning that Pop Princess Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer. This resulted in an immediate cancellation of her Australian ‘Showgirl’ tour, and many UK fans have held there breath waiting to hear if the iconic and talented Australian pocket rocket would still be able to Headline the closing festivities at Glastonbury in late June. RA can now confirm that she has cancelled her Glastonbury appearance and in an official statement on her website revealed her disappointment:
”I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australia and to Glastonbury, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans. Nevertheless, hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon”
RA wishes Kylie the speediest of recoveries.comment 21 Comments

Tue, 24 May 2005All i'm saying is that its not like Kylie is the first (famous) woman to ever get breast cancer.Meanwhile, lets move on to Tom Cruise being a giddy girl on Oprah today.

Mon, 23 May 2005On the other hand (without scaremongering) if increased public awareness of breast cancer saves even a few lives (through women making sure they get check-ups) then that can be no bad thing, surely

Sun, 22 May 2005It is definately over the top the media coverage, esp the articles from the UK press being picked up by the Age. Firstly I read a story about how she and Olivier are not getting married (not news!) and then another a few hours later about how this illness has put off Kylie's plans to have a family... as it would anyone in that position. Ridiculous. Stories about nothing. Get the girl some space and let her convalesce in peace without making up nonsense.
