Hooked on Phonics returns to Melbourne and F4 on Sunday 12 June, the Queen's Birthday holiday weekend. The ANZAC weekend Phonics party showed off the skills of Jnett, Agent 86, Kano and Jez. This time around the lineup has had a rejig and DJ Agent 86 will joined by d-vise, Selekt, and Jeff.
Hooked on Phonics is clearly geared towards making you bounce to the bass, rock to the beat and skate to the sounds of Hooked On Phonics funk. The four DJs will be playing '60s and '70s porno funk, early hip hop and bboy tunes through to anthems of the '80s and classics of more recent years for those in the know.
For those that need to rest their feet there will be classic blaxploitation flicks on the big screen to amuse, enlighten and entrance, while F4 turns on the drinks specials to help you unwind, enjoy and party on during the long weekend. Doors open from 9pm and entry is $10/$12.
