  • While uncertainty looms about Britain’s ability to deliver a summer, things are certainly heating up on the continent. In ten days time the Sonar festival kicks off in Barcelona. Running over 16, 17 and 18 June the festival programme showcases innovative artists, cinema and multimedia displays, industry workshops, and of course music, music, music. To give you a taste for the festival (and encourage you last minute types to pull a finger out), RA caught up with some of the festivals brightest lights. Over the coming week we will hear from a host of international artists including Ada, Basteroid, Booka Shade, DJ Yoda, Ellen Allien, Headman, James Murphy and Miss Kittin, as they share their past experiences of Sonar, what they’re looking forward to this year, and some glimpses into the future. Getting the ball rolling, DJ T. tells RA the upside to getting robbed, releasing mental handbrakes, and why this years festival will be something special. 2005 Sonar Prologues with DJ T. We also hear from the wizard Jeff Mills about his new film project, the importance of patience when playing to festival goers, and seizing opportunities. 2005 Sonar Prologues with Jeff Mills
