- September 23 until October 9 will mark the return of the annual national Freedom Festival which is in support of Amnesty International's 'Stop Violence Against Women' campaign.
September 23 until October 9 will mark the return of the annual, national Freedom Festival 05 which is in support of Amnesty International's 'Stop Violence Against Women' campaign. Held as a series of concerts around Australia over 20 days the travelling road show will visit Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Hobart, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and then a return to Sydney at the Opera House Studio.
The concerts will be headlined around the country by Ursula Rucker, dynamic performance poet and recording artist from Philadelphia (!K7 Records), Ben Mono, a broken beat DJ from Munich (Compost Records), and Jahlicious, a soul reggae outfit from New Zealand (Sugarlicks Records). In Brisbane, these artists will be supported by a local artists at each stop along the way. The Dates for each show are as below:
