Renaissance are set to launch a new album series in August called Frontiers and will aim to deliver two DJs across two discs while showcasing two very different styles with a geographical twist. After reccent mix compilations by James Zabiela and David Morales with Trevor Nelson, Renaissance are definitely pushing the boundaries with an array of different sounds being displayed. As the name suggests, Frontiers will look to provide cutting edge mixes from the top of the DJ chain with two exciting talents, Yousef and Behrouz.

Since the coming of the millenium, Yousef has been regarded as one of the best house DJ/producer England has produced. His productions under names like 10,000 BC and Drum Bums have lead Yousef into the limelight all the while setting up one of the best club nights in Liverpool, UK called Circus. He is currently working on an artist album which will see collaborations with Nic Fanciulli, Gene Farris and Paul Woolford.

Travelling across North America to San Francisco, DJ/producer Behrouz has been at the forefront of the U.S scene both in his own city and abroad. He has been praised by Danny Tenaglia, while Deep Dish went one step further and signed him to Yoshitoshi which has seen Behrouz release some of his best remixes and solo projects to date. His sound can be described as deep, hypnotic, dark and tribal which has attracted fans across the world while cementing some of the best residencies, including Pacha in Ibiza.

Tue, 09 Aug 2005Am listening to the Behrouz mix now.... Its absolutely sublime !!!!Very nice track selection and programming.... although that track in the middle 'The Youngsters - Confidential Music' annoys me, it breaks up the nice flow of things that was going on in the first half.
