  • The End club in London often opens its doors to one off parties which showcase unique sounds from one of the world's most sort after artists. Saturday August 13 will see the Cajual / Relief labels combine fot a special night which centers around the talents of label founder Curtis A. Jones, otherwise known as DJ Cajmere, and keeper of wild techno alter-ego Green Velvet. This is Green Velvet's first live London appearance for several years and his only London date this year. With Mr C and RA columnist Bill Patrick playing around Green Velvet plus a Cajmere DJ set, the event will be a formidable electronic experience. Set up in 1992, Cajual has flourished as an outlet for Cajmere’s hard-edged interpretation of the Chicago house sound. The Techno arm of the business followed a year later and both labels have given Curtis the chance to not only push his own sound, but also artists that have caught his eye over the years. Green Velvet’s live shows are exciting explorations into seminal techno and have unleashed the monsters including 'Preacher Man', 'Answering Machine' and 'Flash'. The End’s Mr C will be joining Cajmere / Green Velvet in the main room, alongside Bill Patrick of the excellent Robots parties in New York.
