  • The Australian event of the 2005 DMC World DJ Championships are back on now after new sponsorship arrangements. Tickets for the final are now on sale.

  • RA recently reported that the Australian event of the 2005 DMC World DJ Championships were back on after some sponsors pulling out. Tickets for the event at the HiFi Bar on Saturday 10 September are now on sale. This years event will feature a combined elimination and final. The format will be a 3-minute elimination round that begins at 8:00 p.m with the top six DJs going through to the six-minute finals later in the evening. Entries close soon, so act quickly to register. The hosts of the evening will be MCs Troy and Reason. Performing live will be Phase and The reigning Australian champ Staen 1 will be defending his title and hoping to win his third national crown. Other prominent battle DJs who have entered include Melbourne's Perplex, Adelaide's Sumone, Kansel and Snair, Sydney's Eko, Digits and Dizar, and Newcastles Skoob plus the winner of the Tasmanian heat which is still going ahead on 27th August. As usual the winner will be flown to London to represent Australia at the World finals. This year's event has been saved by a handful of sponsors who have quickly come onboard after the original sponsors pulled out after the heat announcements. The DMC DJ Championships are an extremely fun event to watch and a great night out so get behind the competitors and get down to the HiFi Bar on 10 September!
