  • After last years tenth birthday bash, this year marks the eleventh year of one of Australia’s most famous music festivals. From the muddy, rain soaked paddock in Byron Bay back in 1995 to its most recent venue at Sydney City’s “The Domain”, Homeback is set to throw a party bigger than any other year. This years special themed event being called Homebake 2005 – The Honours Year! takes place on December 3 and will consist of four stages (main stage, the big top, the dome & the hopetoun stage) Homebake cinema tent, international food fair, market stalls, roving performers, artist signing tent (all proceeds to a nominated charity - tbc) rides, youth and community information, awareness stalls and more. Needless to say it is set to be a full day packed to the brim with the hottest musical talent Australia (& NZ) has to offer, presenting a variety of styles (pop, rock, dance, punk, hip hop, electronica etc) that will no doubt appeal to the most discerning of fans including The Finn Brothers, The Living End, Something For Kate, Ben Lee, Wolfmother, The Cat Empire, Cut Copy, Cog, The Saints, The Beautiful Girls, Decoder Ring, Sarah Blasko, End Of Fashion, Evermore, The Go-Betweens, Paul Mac, The Dirty Three, Katalyst & Ru C.L, Sneaky Sound System, Kisschasy, Wolf & Cub plus many more acts to be announced. Tickets go on sale at 9am, Monday 29 August. Watch this space for more details or visit Homebake's website.
