  • Proton Radio's remix competition for this month has more big prizes on offer if your remix of "Lost in the Moment" leaves the judges feeling that way. The single up for reworking is "Lost in the Moment" by Marc Mitchell and Deepsky, the L.A duo comprised of J.Scott G and Jason Blum, who themselves have had their own heavyweight remixes for the likes of Madonna, Seal and David Bowie. "Lost in the Moment" is exclusively available for purchase on Beatport as of today while individual pieces of the original track can be downloaded by producers wishing to create their own interpretations from Proton. The prize package valued at over $US2000 has been put together by software pioneers Native Instruments and hardware leader M-Audio with the winning producer receiving Native Instruments Ni Komplete 2, the M-Audio Ozonic keyboard, and 20 free mp3 downloads from Beatport. As in past competitions, the winning remix will also receive a full release on the Proton Music label. Rules, terms, and conditions can be found on Proton's website with an added incentive for producers from Hungary. For the first time, remix submissions will be divided into two streams; anyone can enter the Main contest while only those producers residing in Hungary can have their remix up for consideration in the Localized section of the contest. Producers from Hungary can submit their remixes to both the Main and Localized contests and can potentially win both contests if their remix is considered good enough The closing date for submissions is September 12th, 2005.
