  • A new branch of UK club event Becomeone will launch in Melbourne this weekend on Saturday 13 August at Brown Alley. The night will feature broad musical styles with the very best in upfront house, electro, prog and tech-trance. DJs appearing on the night include Kane, JuLes PLees, Millergram and Shaun Rowland. Becomeone in the UK has always prided itself on it's warm and inviting atmosphere and the promoters hope that same vibe can be replicated in Melbourne. While Becomeone is a day-time event in the UK it has a long history as a multi-genre party featuring DJs such as John Askew, Graham Gold, Shan and Scott Bond at venues such as Canvas, Coliseum and the legendary Turnmills over their three year history. Becomeone in Melbourne will be a night-time event and hopefully a monthly party event. The night will start off in deep house and tech territory before moving into more pumping house and electro infused grooves and ending on a rousing tech-trance finale. The aim is to give punters a true musical journey and really capture the sound of club culture in 2005. What will unite all of the sets and genres though will be the emphasis on upfront music. The DJs promise that you’ll hear no tired anthem sets at becomeone, just the very best in new dance music played with a sense of fun.
