- Aussie hip hop's newest talent will be in the spotlight for the Obese crew's second Block Party, and some old names with Jase from Nubreed returning to his hip hop roots.
Aussie hip hop's newest talent will be in the spotlight for the Obese crew's Block Party 2 to be held at Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Saturday October 01. The last Block Party was held in the Metro and was a huge event. After a long break it's time for another party and the Obese Crew will be taking to the stage with some of Australia's most innovative and emerging artists. One of these is young solo lyricist Drapht, who has recently been touring the country on the heels of his latest album "Who Am I". Also on the lineup is Jase from Nubreed. A beatmaking veteran since 1994, his production programming discography reads like the who's who of Australian hip hop. In 2005 Jase is the newest addition to the Obese camp with an upcoming compilation due at the end of this year.
Performing on the night will be Muph N Plutonic, Bliss N Eso, Funkoars, Layla, Bias B, drapht, Art of War, and Jase. The ever capable and most affable Reason will be the host for the evening.
