One of the most infamous associations in Ibiza clubland will soon come to an end. Internationally renowned DJ Jo Mills and legendary promoter Charlie Chester have ended their association with Circo Loco at DC10 in Ibiza and have packed their bags for Asia.

Circo Loco on a Monday morning and throughout the day at DC10 has long been recognised as one of the most hedonistic, outrageous and spectacular parties on the island and is known as a ‘must do’ experience for those heading to the Island in search of the ultimate parties.

Having established this successful formula on the Spansihs Isle, the duo will head to Asia, specifically Singapore and its stunning club Attica. The brainchild of clubbing entrepreneur Mikey M.S. the club is situated over and above the spectacular Singapore River in the premier festival village of Clarke Quay. The playlist showcases house sounds on Fridays and deep soul, R'n'B and funky beats on Saturdays. Speaking about the club and his upcoming roll as the new Attica booker and promoter Charlie Chester is excited by the opportunity:
”Working with Attica has renewed my faith in clubbing. “This is without a doubt the most spectacular venue I've ever been involved in and the parties here just get better and better. What has surprised me the most is the truly International flavour of the clubbers that come here. Singapore has always been a popular stop over destination for those travelling to Australia and other parts of Asia, but now people are staying here longer and making a visit to Attica an essential part of their travels. I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure that Attica becomes one of the world¹s most talked about and visited clubs.”
He has already brought Cream, Miss Moneypenny’s, Hed Kandi and Back To Basics to the spectacular night spot and with Jo Mills in charge of the dance floor the duo look to have a solid foundation with which to help in their goal of putting Attica on the global clubbing map.

Mon, 26 Sep 2005TBH if the new promoters at DC-10 don't fvck with the Monday day-time formula that worked for Circo Loco (opening after We Love Sundays closes, allowing re-entry, keeping the focus on the terrace), stick with the same residents and keep booking guests of the same quality - then the hedonists and caners will keep on coming to DC-10 and the party will carry on regardless of what it's called.

Thu, 15 Sep 2005At the end of the day, it's probably a good move for them. They probably need a new project to begin on and it's definitely going to be a challenge in Singapore. The drug factor is a good point but if they can bring that DC-10 vibe to Singapore, big kudos to them for doing so!

Thu, 15 Sep 2005Re: Singapore & trying to recreate DC10 atmosphere comments. Half of what makes Circo Loco so wicked is the caning it attitude from the ibiza hedonists. (i.e the ridiculous amounts of drugs being consumed that result in a par-ty atmosphere). Now I'm not saying that you can only have a wicked party if your punters are consuming class a's, but it did used to be in Singapore that if you even put your hands in the air during during dance music events then you got shot at. (disclaimer: i may have the... More
