Talented duo, The Jinks, who came to prominence when they won Mixmag’s ‘Future Heroes’ comp have another studio effort in the offering. Following the positive press received for their MN2S release ‘Love Like This’, The Jinks are back in full force with another vibrant, funky nugget in the form of ‘Inamorata’ (‘loved one’).
‘Inamorata’ features an array of talented musicians with Reel People’s keyboard wiz Mike Patto delivers his jazzy-soulful trademark piano licks, whilst veteran jazz trumpeter Tom ‘Ironlung’ Ashe steps into action with a slick horn solo. The lyrics come from Zodiac, who many will recognizes as the infamous vocal hook on Basement Jaxx’s classic ‘Red Alert’.
On remix duties is Baltimore’s DJ Spen who drops two edits. EP out at the End of November.
