After a brief hiatus Adam Freeland’s six-piece band Freeland returns with a new single ‘Heel And Toe’ on his Brighton-based Marine Parade label, the follow up to their debut album ‘Now & Them’, which crossed more borders than an air hostess, fusing punk, rock, reggae, roll, hip hop, breaks and soul into a single well received long player.
The six-piece band features Alison David and Juice Aleem on vocals (occasionally Martin Fishley), Jim Carmichael on drums, Carlos Fortin on bass, Antonio Styles on guitar and Marine Parade boss Adam Freeland on samples/dex/fx.
The new single "Heel And Toe" includes both the Original Mix and a remix by the boss, who rocks things up a bit with electric guitars and drums. Daniel Taylor delivers a glitchy remix, and label stable mates Evil Nine supply their usual rocking breaks touch.
