Hip hop artist MC Eternia is well known in her North American home of Canada, where Exclaim Magazine hailed her as "Canada's Dopest Female MC". She is currently touring Australia and lectured at Sound Summit 05 in Newcastle last week. This Saturday 8 October she will be performing at the Esplanade Hotel, St Kilda, Melbourne.
With few female MCs given the chance to record a long-player in North America, they must earn their reputation through guest appearances and live shows, just as MC Eternia has done. The hard work is now paying off though with the release of her debut album "It’s Called Life", set to spread her name and fame internationally.
Supporting Eternia will be local hip hop group Labjacd. This 9 piece outfit have been playing regularly around the northside, so this time those south of the Yarra can catch them playing their funky grooves with latin rhythms. Their sound is unique mixing aussie hip hop beats and rhymes with sultry latin sounds.
