The 2005 ARIA awards were held on the weekend in Sydney with the Best Dance Release a hotly contested category. While the mainstream media were all over Missy Higgins and her huge bundle of ARIA awards snagged for Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, Breakthrough Album Artist and more, RA can happily report the winner of the Best Dance Release.
The winners of the Best Dance Release were Infusion with their song "Six Feet Above Yesterday" from the album of the same name. They had the edge over the other nominees who included Bodyrockers (I Like The Way), newcomer Dirty South (Sleazy), Deepface (Been Good), and the Rogue Traders (Voodoo Child) who also performed at the awards ceremony.
Infusion were only just in Melbourne last weekend where they showed off the style and sophistication in their music production that clearly made them a front runner for the Best Dance Release award. Congratulations Infusion and keep up the good work!
