Australian premium hip-hop act the Hilltop Hoods developed a following far wide than their early gig circuit through their 2003’s gold certified album ‘The Calling’. Not only Not only did the Hoods capture the hearts and ears of the youth of Australia with their classic tunes ‘Dumb Enough’ and ‘The Nosebleed Section’, they have also managed to win the respect of Hip-Hop’s international underground.
Live, the Hoods are rapidly proving themselves as impressive as the international headliners they often support. In an attempt to try and share some of the excitement that has been had on the road and at shows over the past two years, the guys have put together ‘The Calling DVD’ due for release at the end of November.
It will feature over 2 hours viewing that includes live footage from over 75 shows, film clips, a sneak peak at some of the fun had backstage, a photo gallery, outtakes, special features including the ‘Testimonial Year‘ video clip with an interactive facility and a special sneak preview of some of the Hoods brand new tracks all in surround sound quality.
Currently, the Hoods have retreated to Cross Bred Production Studios in Adelaide to work on their as yet untitled fourth LP due out in Autumn 2006.
