  • After spending some years spinning at illegal parties organized by him and a bunch of friends in “Zombie-City” aka Munich (Germany) Zombie mastermind, Splank released the first Zombie Nation 5-track EP on DJ Hell’s Label, International Deejay Gigolo Records in the spring of 1999. Within the next year all hell broke loose. The debut release contained the unsuspecting song “Kernkraft 400” which developed a life of its own to become a minimal electro anthem. Zombie Nation's sound is that of ElectroCore, abstract, different, and lively! It arises from extraordinary machines, occasionally manufactured after Splank's individual taste, and fufilling his aim to finding a new approach to every song he writes. Wanting greater control of Zombie Nation's destiny Splank cancelled his contract with Gigolo Records and in spring 2001 founded his own label, Dekathlon Records, which has 18 successful releases to date. Planned for later this year are a Zombie Nation 12” EP and Zombie Nation remix collection on CD. John Starlight is the tougher alter ego of Splank's producer personality, responsible for the huge hit "Blood Angels". The Zombie Nation will be doing live shows and revisiting his John Starlight persona in an Australian tour in early 2006. Electro lovers should be front, centre stage for this one.
