  • Things are bound to change when party announcements are made so far in advance, but this time around there is some good compensation on offer. Adam Beyer and Jesper Dahlback were due to be headliners at the New Years Day event Sunshine People in Melbourne put on by Hardware Corp, KillRockStar and Loaded. The artist’s management have advised the promoters that due to scheduling issues the boys will not be able to make the long trip down under for what would have been a stellar string of festival dates. Both artists express their deepest regrets and wish to assure their Australian fans that a new tour is currently in the works for 2006. To make up the gap on the lineup, Hardware Corp have secured the ‘Minus All-stars’ for a very special performance at Sunshine People. Comprising minimal superhero Richie Hawtin and his protégé Magda, this pair will turn up the funk and show Melbourne what has made them the minimal darlings of Ibiza this year. After his old school set NYE at Belfast, Sunshine People is the perfect vehicle for Richie to showcase his fresh cutting edge minimal masterpieces. Sunshine People will also herald the first Australian appearance for Magda who this year crashed into DJ MAG’s Top 100 list. Keep reading RA in coming days as the Sunshine People crew announce more acts for the festival. Come on down Richie and Magda! In the mean time you can read RA's phenominal 2 part interview with Richie Hawtin that went live last week here.
