It has been a long time in the making. After building a solid reputation off the back of dance floor friendly & genre busting 12’s and mix session releases Damian Lazarus’s forward thinking Crosstown Rebels imprint have announced the release of their first artist album 'Familia'. Their thirst for the wired and wonderful side of electronica will see them opening the account with Pier Bucci – the audacious Chile-based weirdo-dance enthusiast who’s currently pushing the boundaries of traditional South American music with his fellow countrymen Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano.

He has previously recorded with Argenis Brito as Mambotur (Multicolour Recordings), with Argenis and Luciano as Monne Autonme (Lo-Fi Stereo), Pier Bucci also co-produced last year’s Lucien-N-Luciano album ‘Blind Behaviour’ (Peacefrog), but this project will represent his first album as a solo artist. This allows him full creative control and sees him stripping back his native South American sounds and twisting, distorting and tweaking them to create an album of cross sectional sounds very suited to the London based label.

The album is out this month through Crosstown Rebels.
