Festivals often conjure up the image of flooded tents, warm beer, suspect food and poor quality sound. One such festival each year that does its best to break the mould of this is Snowbombing - Europe’s biggest ski, board and music festival. Now in its 7th year skiers, boarders, live acts and DJs will descend on Mayrhofen, Austria from April 2nd – 8th for a week of parties hosted by some of the biggest and best club nights in the UK like Bugged Out!, BacktoBasics, Chibuku Shake Shake and Wax:On.
Artists already confirmed to appear include Dave Clarke, London Elektricity, Norman Jay, The Cuban Brothers, Meat Katie, Justin Robertson, Bugz In The Attic, DJ Yoda, Krafty Kuts, High Contrast and Kid Carpet and in exciting news a stunning outdoor pavilion traditionally used to stage the talents of the Mayrhofen town band will be commandeered to host a huge outdoor party Alps style.
Combined with the music is the Snowbombing Slopestyle competition which will see top quality riders battle it out on the powder for a substantial cash prize, but for those of you thinking about venturing to the slopes for the first time there are plenty of flatter runs, patient tutors and comfy chairs perfect for cushioning sore bums.
