The buzz on Atomic Hooligan has been slowly growing in Australia with each visit downunder by Terry Hooligan, one half of the AH duo with Matt Welch. Sydney-based Jam Music have just announced a five city December tour for Atomic Hooligan, which criss-crosses the country giving those on both coasts a chance to see Terry Hooligan in action.
In late 2004 Atomic Hooligan released their debut album ‘You Are Here’ to wide acclaim, also achieving a rare 10/10 review from RA. The album broke the mould for a ‘breaks album’ with a culmination of tunes embracing the sounds of rock, hip hop, house, techno and electro, all rooted in the production principles of breakbeat.
The Atomic Hooligan live show consists of an accompanying 8-piece band which has to be seen to be believed and has performed at Glastonbury, Fabric Live, Cargo, The Ocean Rooms and many more venues. Terry’s deck skills have also led to the Atomic's being voted as one of the Top 10 breaks DJs in the world.
Atomic Hooligan bring a forward thinking outlook to their music with an emphasis on rocking dancefloors while leaving enough room for Terry's turntable wizardry of cutting and scratching.
