One of the world's most prominent break beat artists Adam Freeland has extended his creative juices to re-work one of the world's greatest bands, The Doors. At the personally request of their management Adam has remixed one of their most well known songs ‘Hello I Love You’.

Whilst digging through the through the multitracks in The Doors archive he discovered a plethora of Morrison’s vocals not heard previously. The original had a fade-out ending, but the multitracks revealed screaming Jim Morrison at his finest.

Freeland adds his club-rock spin on the mix taking the big hooks from the original and in true Freeland big soundsystem style builds it up to a screaming Morrison creshendo.

Adam Freeland has just been nominated for a Grammy for his remix of Sarah Vaughan’s ‘Fever’ for Verve Recordings, but The Marine Parade crew reckon this little number owns that. And showing his well document business sense he has managed to secure the rights to release it on his very own imprint, Marine Parade.

The 12" with the Freeland Fabric Mix and Radio Edit is released on 27th February.

Mon, 30 Jan 2006hmmmm metro ...making a decision without checking the track, seems a little bizarre (lack of maturity maybe??), you don't like the track although you haven't heard it? how relevant are your comments?... i think it was a little risky to say the least but he's actually done it justice, it rocks and its also pushing the doors to an audience that might not check their original material out.....

Thu, 19 Jan 2006Yes I'm aware he was asked to do it. That's why I wrote: wtf were the Doors' estate managers thinking of.What's wrong with it is that it'll certainly be worse than the original.
