  • Pioneer Europe have announced the availability of a free system upgrade to its widely-acclaimed DVJ-X1. The enhancements enable artists to play MP3 files burned to CD, introduce a ‘track Loop’ feature (to continually loop a track), improve support for PAL and NTSC DVDs and enable 96khz ‘digital audio output’ (in DJ mode) while the presentation of Wave display through a preview monitor output. It’s a line up that boosts the incredible creativity and versatility of the innovative, multi-award* winning video decks. The DVJ-X1 is an innovation that uses the technology of Pioneer’s industry-standard CD decks and allow any DJ familiar with utilising these to be mixing stunningly creative audio and visual sets in minutes. The new features are designed to further enhance its creativity and versatility and are included as standard on new machines. The extra functions can be downloaded onto previously purchased units via a firmware upgrade CD available from DVJ-X1 retailers and Pioneer distributors. The DVJ-X1 combines Pioneer's world-famous CD Jog Dial technology with the flexibility and capacity of DVD - the DVJ-X1 looks just like Pioneer’s CDJ-1000MK2 CD player, but with the added capacity to playback DVDs as well as CDs.
