North London venue Canvas will feature on the Radio Soulwax world tour as Belgian Brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, better known as Soulwax or their DJ moniker 2many DJ’s. The night on Easter Saturday (April 15), will act as the tour closer and will see the guys bring their now legendary blend of 21st Century electro infused rock and roll to Kings X.

Having built a global following off the back of innovative live performances and their popular ‘Much Against Everyone’s Advice’ album the duo have performed at venues throughout London, but this will be the first time seeing their unique leftfield talents in the traditional London Warehouse environment.

It was in 1999 that their moniker ‘2many DJ’s’ was born. Derived from their Belgian radio show ‘Hang the DJ’ the duo began making their own edits for use on the show. Although common nowadays, 7 years ago the duo were breaking new ground. The extensive studio cut-ups and ability to blend it live saw them perform at key nights in London, XFM mixes and memorable sets at Glastonbury. The night will also feature Tiga supporting in the main room and Secretsundaze and Gigolo records hosting rooms:

Radio Soulwax Niteversions Warehouse Party
Canvas 3
Radio Soulwax
(Soulwax Nite versions live and 2ManyDJs)
Tiga // Headman //Plus very special guest

Canvas 2:
Who Made Who // The Glimmers // The Presets // Simian Mobile Disco //
Freelance Hellraiser

Canvas 1: SECRETSUNDAZE
Giles Smith // James Priestley // Plus guest TBA

Canvas 4: Gigolo Records
Zombie Nation live // Shane Watcha // Jamie Jones // Mazzy Superstar

Key: People are Germs - DJing on the night
Bloc Party // The Baby Shambles // The Rakes // Zoë Ball and Eva plus guests

With enough room for 3,000 hedonistic music fans and two whole days to recover this already looks like one of the best events in London this Easter.

Sat, 15 Apr 2006Go to Kings Cross underground station. Come out the main exit of the mainline railway station, turn left and then walk 5 minutes up York Way which runs along the east side of Kings Cross station. After you cross the bridge over the canal take the second left into the old railway goods yards (I tihnk officially Kings Cross Freight Depot), where Canvas is. It's all signposted from there. Here's a map. ... More
