  • DJ and producer PQM, aka Prince Quick Mix is like a hidden gem in Melbourne. While his gigs have been infrequent since he moved here two years ago, they have always been well anticipated by a growing legion of fans - many of them from the industry. A New Yorker, he choose to make Melbourne his home after touring here and deciding to settle because of numerous Aussie connections. It has been NYC's loss and our gain! PQM recently played Quality Control as their December special guest. Having played to a full house and covering every genre known to man, Quick will now return to Quality Control as a resident DJ. He joins the other residents Dan Mangan, Keltec, Tahl and Scott Feigan at the next QC party on Friday 3 March at the Playpen in Prahan, Melbourne Quality Control aim to provide a number of genres in one night with a mix of quality music and quality people in a quality environment. You'll hear breaks, beats, house, electro, techno and progressive at The Playpen. Covering Breaks, House, Hip Hop and every known derivative thereof, Quick will mastermind the loft from midnight until 3am once again, delivering a unique approach to DJ’ing as only PQM can. Maybe just maybe he'll drop one of his best tracks again, that meltingly perfect remix of Led Zeppelin’s "Babe I’m Gonna Leave You". Check him out!
