  • Eccentric techno artist Luke Slater will launch a new independent record label this month. ‘Mote Evolver’, will aim to draw on the freedom which people can now access music via the internet. Luke will aim to take the process one step further by using this medium to allow fans access to raw, cutting edge tracks direct from Slater himself. An example of this is evident within his first release ‘Deep Heat Volume One’. Taken directly from ‘Planetary Assault Systems’, a work in progress, the release available in MP3, WAV, AIFF, AAC and 12” vinyl will be available immediately, thus providing fans music the moment Slater has finished his studio creations. Its this speed and efficiency as well as the direct response from fans that excites Slater:
“The launch of Mote-Evolver as an Independent record label is a concept which was developed directly from the creation of ‘Planetary Assault Systems’. Planetary is about the here and now, often incorporating live percussion, and the launch of Mote-Evolver will allow access to this raw sound on a more immediate basis. Accessibility is two-fold here, as the graphic ‘in your face’ imagery is backed by simple download steps, which set Mote-Evolver apart from its electronic counterparts.”
Launching organically the Mote-Evolver independent record label will be promoted over a three-month period at various events starting with Fabric on 25 March 2006.
