  • After making its debut at the WMC last year, Porterhouse hosted by Steve Porter returns to Miami for the WMC, this time at Suite Lounge. With a name like Porterhouse, RA couldn't help asking Steve Porter: So how do you like your steak, and how does that relate to your gig in Miami? "I like my Porterhouse done medium well," says Steve Porter. "I guess it means I'll be riding a well done medium of music during my set. I'm always searching for that happy (and tasty) medium after all!" As was the case last year, Miami DJs, Phil & Fluff, will be opening up Porterhouse with another 'perfect funky 'n' soulful' set' while Bon Jonson will be performing a 'short, sweet, and no doubt a crowd pleaser' set featuring their new tune 'Cougar Hunter'. Warming up directly for Steve Porter will be the 'ever so 'silky'' sounds of Eli Wilkie. "He knows fun music and he'll be the one who makes sure nobody at the party is taking themselves too seriously. The party hats come out when he goes on." Having recently released his Porterhouse compilation on Fade Records earlier this year, Steve Porter says he'll be playing some of the tracks off the album which are more suited for the main hour. " I have some tough acts to follow, so I'll need all the bombage I can gather." Two new Steve Porter tracks you can expect to hear at Porterhouse are Agent 001 presents Will Smith vs The Whisperers - 'Welcome To Miami' and his new remix of 'Deep End' by Pete Tong & Chris Cox featuring SK8. Steve Porter also predicts the feel good anthem and classic house vibe of 'I Feel Love' by Hott 22 to be one of the big tunes of the conference. Steve Porter plays Porterhouse at Suite Lounge on March 22nd, 2006.
