Now in its twelfth year, TDK Time Warp Festival returns to Mannheim with the themes of colours and rhythm.
Since launching in 1994, the Time Warp Festival has grown into one of Europe's most important dance events and this year it will again endeavour to accomodate 'a generation that relates to the endless diversity of an electronic lifestyle'.
Primarily taking place at Mannheim Castle, the TDK Time Warp Festival wil be separated into three individual zones, each labelled with their own colour: blue, red and green.
The 'blue' zone will host DJs and live acts including Matthew Jonson, Lexy & K-Paul, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Ben Sims, David Guetta, Ricardo Villalobos, Timo Maas, Tiefschwarz, Turntablerocker, The Disco Boys, Moguai, Loco Díce, Luciano, Kid Alex, James Holden, DJ Murphy, Dominik Eulberg, André Galuzzi, Karotte Luca, Magda, René Vaitl, Sven Wittekind, Robert Natus, Frank Kvitta, Seebase, Marc Bean, Nekes, Ray Okapara, Johnny D, Federico Molinari, Nick Curly and Lovarro&Styles.
Following the successful introduction of a multimedia art installation showcase in 2005, the 'red' programme at the Popakademie and Musikpark Mannheim will feature a Music Lab and Business Camp where record labels, musicians and media creatives can present their exclusive talents and promote their products. There will also be discussions and workshops addressing such issues such as the digital distribution of music, the future of vinyl and electronic music production.
Finally, the University of Mannheim will play host to the 'green' zone, a media arts exhibition including installations, video clips and a video lounge spread out over three levels and occupying more than 600 square metres.
