  • Although the word ‘Trance’ will cause purists to shake their head, try telling the legions of fans around the world who still flock to see the man with the biggest crowd pull in electronica; Tiesto. Famed for appearing at the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in 2004, selling out football stadiums and pioneering outdoor shows he is at it again with London’s Brixton academy the home for his ‘In Search Of Sunrise 5’ release party. Originally booked to do one gig, ticket sales have raced out the door at such speed the promoters have announced a second show. Taking over the Academy on Friday June 16 & 17, Tiesto will perform for 6 hours, backed by his trademark lasers, visuals and projections, Funktion One System and an unbelievable laser show accompanied by a 6 hour Tiësto set that will take you on an amazing journey of the best house, techno and trance around. The man himself is relishing the oppourtunity to play a the Academy:
I’m really excited to play the Brixton Carling Academy two nights in a row and look forward to play both sets. Because they are long sets I can really focus on doing my thing instead of just playing the standard hits. This way I can show the crowd the real Tiësto.
Warming up for Tiësto on both dates will be fast rising stars ‘Progression’, sighted by the man himself as ones to watch for the future and producers of a track on the album. ‘In Search Of Sunrise 5’ is released on April 27th through Black Hole Recordings.
