Fri, 05 May 2006I wasn't just basing my opinion on your post I'm basing it on the guess that a lot of the people I'd want to see are likely to be in a fairly headlining slot, plus I'm really, really turned off by badly-organised events, snotty bouncers, and that sort of thing. One of the things I like about The Key, Fabric, and Glastonbury is that they're all populated by friendly people there to enjoy themselves - staff included - and I've vowed to never go anywhere near The Cross, so that rules out a huge... More

Fri, 05 May 2006I'm not necessarily saying, don't go ... I'm more kind of saying, don't go with any expectation of necessarily being able to enjoy seeing the headliners. I went in 2004 and had a really good time checking out the lesser-known acts/dj's in The Key and The Cross because the people doing the booking for TDK really know their stuff imo.

Fri, 05 May 2006I've been to the Cross Central NYE thing on 04/05, and The Cross weren't involved then... and when I looked at the 2005 Cross Central festie, The Cross didn't appear to be involved at that point. My only experience of Canvas is during that NYE party, which was fun - no idea what the staff are like though.*edit*: I'm entirely wrong, apologies. It looks like that NYE event was the only one where The Cross wasn't involved. Given the reviews and bits I've just read, I'm certainly not going to be... More

Fri, 05 May 2006Canvas has also been apalling every time I've been there. As far as I'm aware The Cross has always been involved. Have you been to this festival? An

Thu, 04 May 2006Any examples of this? I've been to The Key twice now, once as part of Cross Central's NYE celebrations, and once when James Zabiela was playing... had a fantastic time both times. On the other hand, The Cross round the corner are utter, utter wankers. As far as I'm aware, The Cross never gets involved in Cross Central.
