- Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Los Hermanos are all on the bill for the Slam Tent at this year's T in the Park Festival in Scotland.
The full line-up of artists who will play the 12000-capacity Slam Tent at Scotland's T in the Park Festival in July has been announced.
Touted as the single biggest dance music event in Scotland, this year the Slam Tent will notch up its tenth year at T in the Park with a nod to Detroit that sees Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Los Hermanos all take their place on the bill.
Saturday July 8 sees Slam joined by Detroit techno legends Jeff Mills and Derrick May as well as James Holden, Nightmares on Wax and live sets from Vitalic, Modeselektor, The Orb and Cut Copy.
Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Los Hermanos from Detroit label Underground Resistance as well as Laurent Garnier, Coldcut and My Robot Friend will perform live on Sunday July 9 alongside DJ sets from Felix Da Housecat, 2 Many Djs, Optimo, Mr Scruff, Harri & Domenic and Rob da Bank.
One of RA's favourite Essential Mixes in 2005 was the EM by Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos recorded live from the Slam Tent at T in the Park last year. Let's hope the Slam Tent hits the BBC Radio 1 airwaves again in July.
T in the Park 2006 takes place on the weekend of July 8-9 at Balado, Kinross in Scotland.
