  • I’m a Big Sister, and I’m a Girl, and I’m a Princess, and This Is My Horse' is the oddly-named and much anticipated third release from Underworld in their online Riverrun project of digital releases. Following on from previous editions 'Lovely Broken Things' and 'Pizza For Eggs', this release consists of a 25-minute mix showcasing a darker and more eclectic side of the group. Available from Underworldlive.com from June 5, this digital bundle of goodies contains an audio-visual slide show featuring images and text together with digital versions of traditional CD sleeve artwork. Underworld frontman Karl Hyde has embraced this method of digital-only releases:
"The Riverrun series has been a huge success for Rick and I. Taking music from the studio and putting it out into the world in a matter of seconds has been something we've longed to do. Creatively we get to write and publish new work in ways that suit us, offering a much needed alternative to our traditional album scheduling."
The 30-minute Riverrun retrospective Misterons Mix will also be released on July 10 as a free download for those who have purchased the first three Riverrun releases. The package features digital photos and CD artwork. This weekend's live Lemonworld Studio broadcast from Underworld confirmed that they are currently working on a new album, which will be available in both physical and digital versions. On top of prepping future broadcasts, currently Smith and Hyde are at work on two film scores so keep an eye on Underworldlive.com for details over this summer. Outside the realm of the digital, expect to see a number of 12” Underworld releases in the coming months with remixes from Pete Heller, Pig and Dan (featured on the RA002 Podcast in March), Paul Woolford and Robag Wruhme.
