  • Big Apple promoters Made Event are offering U.S residents the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to the city that never sleeps in mid-August. Sound too good to be true? Devise a fiendishly clever way to promote Paul Van Dyk’s gigs in Central Park and the tickets to Manhattan are yours. Trance stalwart Paul Van Dyk has added an extra night to his Central Park shows which are now scheduled for August 18th and 19th. Nothing too revolutionary in that, but it’s the unique competition attached to the parties that has caught our eye. If you like big room trance, or even if you don’t but you like free tickets to exotic locales, put on your promotions thinking caps and brush up your marketing whizz kung-fu and prepare yourself for two nights of bigroom trance, or one night of trance and one night of sightseeing, or hey, two nights of partying in your all expenses paid hotel. Made Event are looking for the most creative, effective and unique way of building the profile of the Central Park events both locally and globally through the web. A short synopsis of the competition:
“Get Made” contestants will be asked to create highly original ways to promote the Central Park events. It doesn’t matter how big or small their town is; what counts is unparalleled creativity and passion. We’re looking for “Get Made” contestants to photograph or video tape their creative promotional techniques and send them to us as part of their official entry. Made Event will scan through every submission and narrow the field down to the “Get Made” Final Four. This means that contestants must be as creative as possible to impress the tough Made Event judges and make it into the final round!
Four finalists will be chosen and their brilliant schemes laid out on the Made Event website. The final winner will be selected by fans when they buy their ticket for the event, which rules out getting your mates to vote for you very effectively. Unless they are all Paul Van Dyk fans. You have just read RA's unofficial entry.
